Email to Clients
To our valued clients and colleagues,
As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread, the health and well-being of our communities, clients, and people remains our highest priority. With this in mind, we made the decision to close our offices to the public and our professionals will be working remotely through April 17th. We remain and are completely able to provide ongoing, timely services with our entire team maintaining continuity of operations on a generally remote basis. We want to assure you that we do have the processes and technology to allow our employees to continue to meet your needs.
- Phone/Email: All of your normal contacts are still available by telephone and email. If you call, you may be connected to voicemail or to someone designated to take messages. These messages will be forwarded as appropriate, and your call will be returned as soon as possible. Our goal is to return calls within 24 hours.
- Sending/Receiving documents: We are asking clients to send and receive documents and tax returns via digital methods. We have several tools that allow us to do this, including our ShareFile, SafeSend, and secure emails. If you are unable to scan your documents, you can mail your documents to us or drop them off in a “drop box” (differs by location). If a drop box is unavailable, please contact your HCC team member to discuss other options.
- IRS deadline: As we previously communicated, the IRS has extended the filing and payment deadline from April 15th to July 15th.
- AR deadline: Earlier this week, Governor Hutchinson announced the State deadline to file and pay individual income taxes has been extended to July 15th as well. However, for Arkansas filing and payment requirements for corporations, trusts and individual tax estimates are still due April 15th.
This is a unpredictable situation and we’ll continue to update you via email, social media and our online COVID0-19 Resource Center at www.hcjcpa.com
